We were at the Oppauer Haus on October 31st. We ordered 2 potato soups for dinner. After almost an hour and multiple inquiries, the soup came in a small cup - for € 4.50 and not even bread. At the same time, around 20 servings of steamed noodles WITH potato soup were served. Not good service

It goes like this, totally overcrowded, no distance between all the seniors. I don't understand, because of them daycare centers and schools were closed etc ... it was drafty, loud and overcrowded. Outside under the tent there were no heat mushrooms etc. at 10 degrees and rain. Very uncomfortable and then they drive the car almost up to the hut instead of walking a few meters. And we always had to make room when walking down to the parking lot. Very good in summer, but not really in winter. I can well imagine that corona or a virus will break out again ... but food was still very good 👍. Have a look at the Forsthaus Silbertal ... that's how it works, every second table is left free ... with reservation, everything is great.

We have been regular visitors to this hut for a long time. Unfortunately, as of today, we cannot recommend this place to anyone else: Safe Place = nil. So far, the Corona measures have been implemented well, as of today the minimum distance between the tables in the guest room has not been observed. You sit back to back with less than 50cm distance. When we asked the host about it, it was only pointed out that in other restaurants there is no 100% compliance with the rules. No understanding of our concerns, greed for profit to the detriment of our health, shame ....

Super nice in the forest. Great food. Friendly service. And they even have a music room in which we have already played. Overnight stays are also possible. But we haven't done it yet.

We hiked from the campsite to the Oppauer house. A beautiful route is easy to drive with a stroller. We reserved a table and decided to sit outside when the weather was nice. We ordered our food outside at the pavilion and picked it up inside. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 papers didn't work. The meal was ready and we were not informed. That was annoying and a test of patience for our children. When asked, the food was quickly prepared for us with new pagers. We were satisfied and can recommend the oppauer hut. Many Thanks.

Beautiful area. Easily accessible on foot, by bike or by car. Lots of space. Enjoy your meal.

We celebrated a milestone birthday there last week. First of all, the food was good, but some things don't fit at all. The drinks package is only okay as long as the landlords are there. The self-service fridges are poorly stocked. The billing of meals such as coffee and cake, which was not used at all, appears questionable. The great thing, however, is that unoccupied beds in triple and quadruple rooms are charged at € 10 during Corona times. That is not how it works. Breakfast is no longer supplemented after 9.30 a.m. That means, overnight guests go away empty-handed from 9.30 a.m. The celebration started at 6.30 p.m. The toilets were in dire condition, with no toilet paper or paper towels. Conclusion: a nice celebration, but there is still room for improvement in terms of general conditions. It's a shame.

Very good food, due to the Corona-related requirements, but very well implemented process. We'd love to come back for a hike and stop by.

Wonderful hut in the middle of the Palatinate Forest near Wachenheim. Great hiking destination with a very nice operator couple, excellent Saumagen and an attractive outdoor area.

Cozy house with nice staff, 2 guest rooms and outdoor seating. Good food at moderate prices. On Saturdays there is delicious steamed noodles and on Sundays from time to time spit roast from the charcoal grill.

For less than 30 € an overnight stay, no problem since the fire around 2005, all rooms are equipped with a large bath / shower. The rooms are furnished like in youth hostels, clean, bright, it is still a house for friends of nature. 📷, The house offers a very good kitchen, a restaurant and 2 adjoining rooms. At the moment, of course, according to Corona rules ... As everywhere. Spent one night in the Oppauer Hütte on our hike from Frankenstein to Wachenheim. The rooms are clean and each has its own bathroom, which is exactly what you need after a long hike. Typical Palatinate cuisine with a very good breakfast in the morning. The outside area invites you to sit outside until late at night, and it is also allowed to make bonfires, which was very important to us. Can definitely recommend the hut to every hiker, were completely satisfied.

Very good, worked quickly despite a lot of activity ... Food was delicious, also the steamed pasta.

Stopping here after a hike is great! There is a large selection of food and drinks, and there are also cakes. There are many seats, both under an umbrella, protected from the sun and rain, and under the open sky.

Good hut with good selection of different food, on Saturdays there are steamed noodles, otherwise good deals. Children's playground available, large parking lot almost at the door, for convenience. Friendly operators and service gladly again.
